Cost-effective Stepper Motors – Made in Europe!

Reducing dependencies on complex global supply chains is again in focus for many companies – this is where MAE's European-made stepper motors come in handy.

MAE, Dunkermotoren's Italian sister company, is one of the last volume manufacturers of NEMA stepper motors with European production. Currently, when many companies are questioning the status quo of their supply chains, they are once again higher on the agenda than ever before. In addition to the security of supply and predictability that are extremely important to many customers, sustainability is also improving at virtually unchanged cost levels.

The 2-phase hybrid stepper motors with a step angle of 1.8° are available in Nema 17, 23, 34 and 42 sizes. This enables holding torques of up to 12 Nm in a compact design. The Nema 17 and Nema 23 sizes have been completely technically revised in recent years and are now a benchmark on the market in terms of performance. Planetary gearboxes, brakes and encoders can be combined with the stepper motors from the Dunkermotoren modular system as required. New is the high-resolution and cost-effective encoder RE30-2-4000 with 4000 increments on two channels plus index. Through the support of our technical team, customer-specific adaptations to the shaft, cable, connector, IP protection or other technical features can be made at any time. Programmable controllers of various types are also available to complete the drive solution. Further integrated stepper motor controllers, from the low-cost Step & Direction RS485 controller to the high-end Closed Loop Controller with Industrial Ethernet interface and Safe Torque Off functionality are being implemented and will be available soon.

Currently, the stepper motors can be purchased for projects starting at an annual requirement of 200 units.
