Installed at the factory, it is the Edge component available in both software version and as an electronic board, capable of processing and integrating any machine and sensor data via any industrial protocol and transforming raw data into ready-to-use information already on board the machine. This provides secure and certified data for monitoring the operation of machines and their components, organizing more efficient maintenance, reducing waste, generating economies of scale and gaining a reliable picture of job times and costs. The new version of smartEDGE5.0 Next Generation uses artificial intelligence algorithms to manage real time processes at the machine edge, integrating enabling technologies such as augmented reality to train young workers and support factory operators, department managers and maintenance staff by actively assisting them at all stages of production. The data processed by the Edge is transmitted to smartHINGE5.0, RETUNER®'s IIoT platform, or to third-party platforms in private or public cloud.
