Architectures

From the experience of the Scientific Committee of SPS Italia a (pro)position for the Italian manufacturing industry.
A document which, starting from the needs of Italian companies, aims to provide useful guidelines for understanding technological and digital evolution.

Chapter 2 is dedicated to architectures supporting systems and processes. Starting from the classic Pyramid (ISA 95), it presents the most modern architectures that are best suited to supporting the potential associated with new technologies (RAMI 4.0, ISO IoT, Web of Things, IIRA) and represents its advantages and disadvantages in a comparative manner depending on the different areas of use.

The second chapter was presented at an event dedicated to SPS Italia 2024.

Position Paper 2024 - Chapter 2

The Chapter 2 is completely dedicated to architectures supporting systems and processes. Starting from the classic Pyramid (ISA-95), presents the most modern architectures that are best suited to support the potential associated with new technologies (RAMI 4.0, ISO IoT, Web of Things, IIRA) and represents their advantages and disadvantages in a comparative manner according to the different areas of use.
