Strain Wave Gear



The strain wave gear, is a precision reduction device widely used in robotics, aerospace, and industrial automation. Invented by C.W. Musser in 1955 , it consists of three core components: a wave generator (eccentric cam with flexible bearings), flexspline (thin-walled flexible cup with external teeth), and circular spline (rigid ring with internal teeth).
