Dunkermotoren is a motor and drive technology manufacturer from the Black Forest with over 70 years of experience with innovative, high-quality, and flexible gearmotor solutions up to 5000 W output power, all of which originate from own development and production. The portfolio includes brushless and brushed DC motors, as well as linear systems and AC motors.
Since the beginning of 2020, the portfolio has been expanded by the sister company MAE to include stepper motors and blowers. All components can be expanded in a modular system with gearboxes, encoders, brakes and integrated or external electronics to form the complete drive.
Since March 2021, the Donaueschingen-based automation specialist EGS Automation has also been part of Dunkermotoren, further strengthening the position of both companies in the field of industrial automation.

As the Internet of Things (IoT) moves into industrial manufacturing, the boundaries between technologies and systems in industrial manufacturing and beyond are blurring, from the field level to the enterprise level to the end user.
Smart motors with the appropriate Ethernet interfaces from Dunkermotoren are part of this evolution. The increased level of networking, the use of cloud-based platforms and the decentralization of computing power are creating entirely new possibilities in terms of analysis and use of the data provided by the motor and also the use of the motor itself for autonomously executed tasks.
